The same things get explained to every intake, by whoever has time
The Surveying Academy was built specifically for building surveying SMEs, where graduate and apprentice training usually sits with busy senior surveyors rather than a dedicated training team. It gives every new starter the same practical foundation in the repeatable parts of the job, so your experienced people can spend more of their time teaching judgement, reviewing live work and advising clients.

What makes us different
Built for firms without a training department
Most surveying SMEs do not have a dedicated L&D team. There is nothing to design, write or timetable. Give a learner a seat and the practical training is there whenever the work lands.
Evidence that it was actually read
Every module ends in a test the learner has to answer correctly before it is marked complete. You get a record of what has been completed rather than an assurance that it was watched.
Senior time back
The foundations are taught once and remain available to revisit whenever needed. The Academy does not remove supervision, and it should not. It reduces the need to start from zero on repeatable basics, leaving senior surveyors more time for review, judgement, client advice and the live work only experience can teach.
Pitched at the work you are handing them
The courses follow the tasks juniors are actually given: emails, minutes, site photography, drawings, design reviews. A learner can be pointed at the relevant one the day the work lands.
The same starting point for every intake
Each new starter covers the same ground, so you are not relying on who happened to be free that week. Your supervision sits on top of a known baseline rather than replacing it.
Written by someone who has done the job
Your juniors are taught by a Chartered Building Surveyor with over twenty years in UK practice who is also an APC assessor. It is written from inside the profession, so your seniors are not correcting the training before the learner can use it.
See what it looks like at your charge-out rate
The calculator puts your blended charge-out rate and the size of your cohort against the cost of a licence. The figures are indicative and the assumptions are yours to change.
3 juniors, a £90 an hour blended rate, and half an hour of repeated explanation saved per junior each week: £6,210 of senior time a year, against £2,700 + VAT for 3 places.
Illustrative only. Not a guarantee of savings.
The Academy is not APC coaching, and it does not replace your training, supervision, experience or professional judgement.
It gives employers and learners a consistent practical starting point, and leaves the judgement, the live work and the sign-off where they belong, with you.
For your senior surveyors: their role does not shrink. The repetitive part does.
